Second in a series. Deron shows us the next steps. Complimentary colors, blending, more on color theory.
Third in a series. This time, more with glazes and listening to your own creativity.
Deron goes over the finished painting and explains the final touches of his "Reality TV" painting.
In this lesson, Deron struggles some with the direction of the piece, but gives you insight into the simplicity of creative flow. Also shows more about contrast in your painting.
This is the first clip from the 4 hour DVD showing you how to take a painting from canvas stretching to applying varnish. Trev has been an artist for 45 years and specialises in military style paintings, portraits and copying the old masters. The main dvd can be found at http://www.learn-to-oil-paint.co.uk
In the fifth lesson, Deron gives us a good luck at the process of experimenting with a painting. he adds some lines and then removes them. (Nice to see its not perfect from the start.) Plus he starts adding black as the painting becomes *almost* done.

Darin: An Oil Portrait Painting Demonstration by David R. Darrow
I did a live demo for an art group in Carlsbad, CA (near my home and studio in Oceanside, CA). This video is built around "moving snapshots" of that event. Subscribe to my free "Art In Your InBox" Newsletter and receive via e-mail a small picture of every new painting I paint, along with the story behind the painting. Go to www.DarrowArt.com/list/?p=subscribe. Your e-mail address will only be used for my mailings, and will never be sold or given away.

Ever wondered how some paintings seem to glow with light? Sometimes the light looks like it's pushing past the edges of the trees and hills - it's a really beautiful light effect in landscapes, but it's usually VERY subtle and equally difficult to paint. This video lesson shows you how. Visit http://www.newzealandartist.com/lessons.php for more great painting lessons.
