This video has caused a great deal of controversy. Originally shown on ABC TV, it was first shown as an object lesson as to what happens to Iraqi Insurgents who dare show weapons before US forces. However, as time goes on, doubt has begun to surface as to whether the people shown blown to pieces with the 30mm cannon on the Apache were really insurgents, or just harmless farmers. Long version

This footage show what is reported to be a group of insurgents in Iraq taken out by missile. The video itself is that of the, now familliar, thermal imaging variety. Often the US military engages teams of insurgents planting IEDs using an MQ-1B Predator unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). An armed UAV may patrol an area where the presence of insurgents is anticipated through trend analysis and past incident reporting. Once the insurgents are identified, they can be engaged by the Predator using an AGM-114 Hellfire missile.

WARNING GRAPHIC Insurgent Launches Mortar Shells for the Last Time
While onlookers chant praises, this masked insurgent is launching mortar shots at American troops. Mortar tracking technology can track the trajectory of a hostile round and fire a retaliatory shot to the exact spot where the hostile shell was fired. The effects are usually pretty final. US forces used illegal chemical weapons to burn innocent civilians. US forces were ordered to kill anyone or anything that moved. This is what the media does not want you to see.

What kind of training does the US government give our soldiers? It seems to me the first rule would be to treat the citizens of the country being invaded with respect. Is it any wonder that people all over the world have no respect for Americans? And ONCE AGAIN they film themselves doing this!
