Late 40 or early 50's Science Fiction. Look close at this movie and you might wonder if "Independence Day" made a couple of years ago might have been a updated version from this movie.

Killers from Space - Classic Movie - www.nostalgiamerchant.biz
Killers From Space stars Peter Graves (Mission Impossible) before he became a major star. Atomic scientist Doug Martin is missing after his plane crashes while on a reconnaissance mission after a nuclear test. Showing up at the base later, he is given sodium pentathol after being caught in espionage activities. Authorities are skeptical, to say the least, as he relates his story of being captured by aliens who plan on capturing Earth by using giant animals and insects. Classic Scifi. (1954) Available on DVD from The Nostalgia Merchant.

UFO, Flying Saucer & Paranormal Sightings: 1952 TV Interview
Scientist Willy Lay appears on the Longines Chronoscope to discuss reports of Unidentified Flying Objects. It is Lay’s opinion that UFO reports are mistaken in interpretation and only 15% of reports are mysterious in origin. Lay points out that it is unlikely that UFOs are secret experiments by any armed force or are of interplanetary origin. More likely explanations include natural phenomena like meteors or sky balloons with instrumentation. Within his lifetime, Lay expects man to enter space and suggests that an agency be organized to promote space travel. See the full length video at: www.qualityinformationpublishers.com

Unknown World - Classic Movie www.nostalgiamerchant.biz
Dr. Jeremiah Morley is convinced that a global nuclear holocaust is imminent and decides to organize a team of scientist to search for a subterranean environment. Sort of a Journey to the Center of the Earth. I wonder if this was the original idea for that movie. (1951) Available on DVD from The Nostalgia Merchant.
When a giant reactor explodes in a lab, a scientist and his crew are sent flying 5000 years into the future. A campy favorite.
Classic SciFi.
A missile, launched by the team led by Prof. Quatermass, lands in the English countryside. Of the three members of the crew, two have mysteriously disappeared. The third one, barely alive, undergoes an horrible metamorphosis turning into a monstrous "thing". When he breaks out and, chased in vain by inspector Lomax, starts killing humans and animals to feed his transformation, Quatermass realizes that this is the way chosen by an alien form of life to invade the Earth.
Most people think of a B movie as something concocted by the denizens of post WW II Hollywood, so I thought to include this little piece of cheese to prove that other nation's can also be known for the ripe smell of Lingerger (sp) emanating from their TV sets. This movie is a prime example of why it is important to not Film and Drink at the same time. It has some of the most unbelievably tacky scifi hardware ever put into a movie. The writing is funny and it sometimes seems that the writers had just returned from an all night wine tasting festival when they shlocked this one together. I hope you alien robots of undetermined origin with bad taste in sound effects, Zombified (Is that even a real word?) dead people with light bulbs for eyes, and some of the most fake screaming you ever heard. Enjoy the flick and try not to laugh too hard. :)
