Scotland travel: Views from our room at Culzean Castle. Spectacular sunlit clouds at sunset! Good thing we were allowed to photograph and video our rooms and outside the castle. We were surprised to learn that guests of the castle, staying in the Eisenhower Apartments, are not permitted to wander about the rest of the castle after business hours. During normal operating hours, guests are allowed to take the conventional tour of the castle, which anyone 'off the street' can take. No photos or video was allowed inside the castle (other than in the Eisenhower apartments), for reasons unknown. Even one of the staff said of this rule, "I don't know why; it's a bit irritating, isn't it?" Yes. Nonetheless, we remain Real People having Real Fun!
