Indon Ghost Story (Kuntilanak Merah) with English subtitle Astari (Ardina Rasti) and her boyfriend, Refa (Asha Syara), spend their time together before Refa leaves to study overseas. But before he leaves, Astari finds herself pregnant. Initially, Refa asks Astari to abort the baby but finally he agrees to take some of the responsibility. Astari is unaware of Refa's plan to trick Astari into aborting the baby. When the abortion plan fails, Refa buries both Astari and the baby alive near Casablanca. Astari becomes a revengeful spirit and puts a curse on Refa and his generations.

When Williams escapes from the inept Sheriff, Hildy seizes the opportunity by using his $260 honeymoon money to payoff an insider and get the scoop on the escape. However, Walter Burns (Adolphe Menjou), the Post's editor, is slow to repay Hildy back, hoping that he will stay on the story. Getting a major scoop looks possible when Hildy stumbles onto the bewildered escapee and hides him in a roll-top desk in the press room. Burns shows up to help.
