Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/devincurry. This is the first I’ve read of this title and I got it because it was a really light week and I saw the X-Force on the cover. The quick review is that cable has been on the run through the time stream for two years now with the first mutant child born after the House of M saga. Bishop, the X-man’s one time ally from the future has come back to kill the child. This was pretty good book. If you are interested to get in this is a good issue to do it. It seems to be the beginning of a story and the story is not far enough advanced that you can’t get caught up. Some aspects of the story are a little trite, like the hard hearted tough guy soldier who is softened by the young girl that he is charged to protect and the one time hero who believes he is doing what is necessary for the greater good despite no one ...
shazap.com This is the first book of the highly anticipated, at least by me anyway, batman story arch Batman RIP. This book definatley lived up to all the hype. It was dark, creepy, mysterious and everything a good bat book needs to be. The mystery is provided by the appearance of a new set of villains calling themselves the black glove. The seeds of doubt have been planted in Robins mind after seeing all that Bruce has bone through recently and is still dealing with the fact that Damien is his brother. The book wraps up with a seriously creepy joker and lucky for us he’s been invited to the “Danse Macabre” Batman’s Dance of Death. I can’t wait to see where this story is going to go as it winds through all of the bat family titles in Batman 676-681, Detective 846-850, Nightwing #147-150, Robin #175-176, and Batman and the Outsiders #11-13. Get geared up for a powerful series with a heavy impact on the Batman’s life.
shazap.com Sickening, absolutely disgusting! OK Those of you who have been watching shazap for a while may remember one of my earliest rants about how terrible it was that they had Peter Parker lurking in a tree taking pictures of a private funeral like some lowly paparazzi, well it has officially come to pass. Peter Parker is now officially a member of the paparazzi. At least the other characters seam to be as disgusted by it as I am. I am just not yet convinced by this new direction. I don’t get it. There does seam to be something interesting about the nnew villain, well soon to be villain, that is introduced named paper doll. I’ll stick with it because that’s what I do but seriously they almost had me back and then they have the panel of Spidey swinging by with his camera and a montage of his celeb shots behind him. It just baffles me.
