Big Cat Rescue is growing into a name that is recognized around the world thanks to your support. The “FUR BALL” is our annual benefit night and a chance to get dressed up and have some fun while the cats are back at the sanctuary sleeping. www.bigcatrescue.org
The Amur leopard is in a very tough spot right now, and those that are trying to save this species need your help! At BCR we are trying to make every cats life mean something, so we are using our captive animals as spokespeople for their wild cousins. Please check out www.amur-leopard.org. Together we CAN make a difference. Thank you. www.bigcatrescue.org
Joseph's pride is the story of Big Cat Rescue's newest arrivals. It is very sad for us all to see so many big cats in all kinds of strange situations across the U.S. Big Cat Rescue is not only trying to take in what we can (in the past six months we have now taken in 6 tigers and 2 lions and a handful of lesser cats) to provide them a permanent home where they can live out their life with respect, but we are also trying to get better legislation passed to protect the big cats still out there. For more info on how you can help us, as well as info on how you can support conservation efforts for these great cats out in the wild, please check out: www.bigcatrescue.org
Will the bobcat has been seen by many vets and specialists. He looks normal but does not process information, such as sight and hearing, and runs into walls. We want to release him to the wild, but have to make sure he is capable of surviving.

Savannah Cat Rescue- Serval/ Domestic Hybrid
Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fl. provides a permanent home to over 140 exotic cats. We have limited space and try to rescue what we can as well as try to get tougher legislation passed to lessen the amount of unwanted big cats. Sometimes people will get a smaller exotic feline like a serval or bobcat and hope that due to its size it will make a better “pet.” They soon learn that we speak the truth when we say exotic cats don’t make good pets. And other times people will buy from breeders a hybrid variation like a bengal cat or a savannah cat with often the same results. This video takes you along with us on a rescue of a savannah cat. We ask animal lovers to take in unwanted domestics and not to buy into this big cat crisis we have here in America. Thanks for watching, and for more info please log onto: www.bigcatrescue.org
Help Big Cat Rescue save the lions and tigers left behind by the Siberian Tiger Conservation Association after it was shut down by USDA and concerned citizens.
It took seven years for the USDA and concerned citizens to shut down the Siberian Tiger Conservation Association, which was just a fancy name for a tiger tamer wannabee camp. Now Big Cat Rescue is calling on you to help bring these cats to FL so that they can live out the rest of their lives in peace.
Come with us as we update you on the big cats that appeared in three of our more popular pod casts this year. At Big Cat Rescue we pride ourselves that we are doing the best we can in this animal industry to have strong ethics. We have grown into a world-class non-breeding sanctuary and we don’t give in to the theory that babies bring in money, or that you have to rotate animals or get rid of surplus. We have no roller coasters, no petting zoos or photo booths with the cats, no taking our animals off property, and other things that other places think they need to attract money from visitors. We offer only guided tours at selected times in order to educate people on the cats situations both in captivity and in the wild. We are proud that we grow with your support year after year and we do our best to put our animals’ needs and welfare first and hope to show others that this is the way it can and should be done. Thanks for a great year! www.bigcatrescue.org
The Tampa, Florida summers are getting hotter and hotter so, to help our water loving felines "Beat the Heat"Â we build ponds in their enclosures. Watch as our tigers cool off and have some fun in their personal pools. Thanks to having some of the best supporters in the world, Big Cat Rescue is able to give excellent care to its 100+ residents. *Special mention to author Caleb Carr for his generous donation toward the pond reconstruction project. BCR loves to help out and support wild feline conservation. We were recently asked to participate in a project that collected fecals from captive snow leopards, in order to be used to train dogs to identify the smell. These dogs will then be used out in snow leopard habitat to better help the researchers. Helping out the snow leopard is important as lets face it, the leopard doesn’t have the fact that people can ride up to it sleeping on the plains on a jeep and grow fascinated by it like the lion. It lives in rugged areas that see very little tourism. For more info on this great project check out: www.snowleopard.org and also: www.workingdogsforconservation. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out our other cat videos. www.bigcatrescue.org
