The New Avengers #41 01:20

I can not believe the intricacy of this story. Every issue that comes from the secret invasion reveals more of marvel history and continuity that is wrapped up in this arch. I just happened to go back this weekend and reread the beginning of the new avengers series that involved the savage land stuff that came into play this issue and that it was the skrulls that were mining the vibranium. I was like “of course it was them”. It’s great that Ka Zar and the savage land crew have even been playing a part in this it. Marvel really is including all of its’ universe. They leave us with a great cliff hanger as Captain America busts through the trees ready to take out the savage landers. Now, if Cap is a Skrull, of course he wants to take out Ka Zar, but he’s also been vouched for. Who knows.

  • shazap.com This one shot was disappointing. Usually the good one shots are action tales that involve a big fight that just needs a few extra pages to pack it all in. This book was the complete opposite of this. With all the excitement around Hulk now with the red hulk and the title getting a lot of new readers the crew at marvel took this opportunity to give the new readers a bit of backstory through the guise of an author who had had an encounter with hulk in the past interviewing other people who had seen the hulk for a book he was writing. The problem was that they weren’t in depth or exciting stories. It was stuff like I saw him jump over my car and everyone thought I was crazy. Or I was the only person on my bus who saw him lift us off the train tracks. The worst part was the little bit of hulk they did throw in. The art was not interesting or engaging at all, it was just not a good book. I’d wait for king sized hulk coming out soon which looks to have a lot more action as she hulk takes on the ...

  • Cuando un misil nuclear fue despedido en Washington en 1945, el Capitán América logró detonar en la atmósfera superior. But then he fell miles into the icy depths of the North Atlantic, where he remained lost for over sixty years. Pero luego cayó en las millas de hielo de las profundidades del Atlántico Norte, donde permaneció perdido durante más de sesenta años. • shazap.com This is another one of those crazy time crossover things that comic companies love to do because they can sell some extra books and put together some interesting what if scenarios. It’s like the eagle vs shark or Tyson vs Ali. This one ups the anti a little bit as it thrusts captain America back into current continuity. This is yet another way that marvel has teased us with the possible return of captain America but at least with this one we know that it is the actual Steve Rogers and that we will be around for at least twelve issues. A year is a long time and a lot can happen in the marvel universe so I guess this is a pretty clear indication that it will be a while before we know whether or not Cap is coming back. Just to recap we’ve got the blast from the past Invaders cap, the cap that got out of the skrull space ship in the avengers book a few months ago, and that Steve Rogers looking thing in the tank in the captain America books. Marvel definitely knows how to keep you guessing. ...
