The Cubatron Cone is a large scale, color dynamic kinetic light sculpture, 6,720 lights arranged in a cylinder cone 40 feet in diameter and 20 feet tall. This amazing and hypnotic installation, created by Mark Lottor, is solar powered and runs at night only. The Cubatron has been one of the art pieces and playa places that I loved most at Burning Man this year.
Welcome to NOWHERE - this is my only good video from this year European Regional Burning Man event. Unfortunately my camera screwed up and all the other videos were crap (I have some good pictures on Flickr, though). For those who don't know, burners from all over Europe gather every year in a desert of the low-Pyrenees, some 80km North-East of Zaragoza, Spain. 2007 has been the 4th year at NOWHERE (my first). If you want to know more visit www.goingnowhere.org and www.nowheredays.com (this last one has a full web-TV for you die-hard video bloggers!). This was a crazy moment - we were hanging out in the strong heat and all of the sudden Lourdes and her Madrid crowd show up with an entire leg of ham, an original Pata Negra Jamon, de Espana, claro! In just a minute it all turned into a huge party that lasted for a couple of hours, and strong soul connections that will last forever - but this is Burning man, you know, either is in BRC, SF, NYC, or in the middle of nowhere at NOWHERE!
More killer tunes, dusty beats and electric grooves at De-Menthas. DJ Rod spins, a funky crowd keep shaking their souls, and mojitos keep flowing like they are free - hey, they are free, this is Burning Man! Thank you De-Menthas for the great gift!
