The Goodies go to a Symphonic Orchestra, but the musicians get stolen. When they get home they find out that this is happening all over the country and that all of the live music shows have been replaced with discotheques. So they try to become famous magicians themselves to get stolen thus finding out who is doing it.

The Goodies go to the beach for a swim, but discover that the water is polluted. Then they notice how widespread the pollution is. They discover that the Ministry for Pollution is responsible for the problem. The Goodies arrange for widespread grass to overcome the pollution, by seeding the clouds with grass seeds, and the results are far beyond their wildest dreams. Cars can no longer be driven, because the streets cannot be seen, and everybody grows grass instead of hair. Lawn mowers are in fashion as transport — also in fashion are tiny garden ornaments and scarecrows which are made especially for wearing in people's hair. Birds also profit by being able to build nests in the hair. Although all seems to be idyllic, the Goodies find that there is an unexpected drawback to their environmental solution to the problem. The Goodies are asked to train the British Commonwealth athletic team to top fitness, but the potential members of the team are all former Members of Parliament, and not athletes — they are also very old and fail the test, and the Goodies have to take their places in the team. Bill is upset when he discovers that Tim and Graeme have become obsessive hunters. Tim and Graeme belong to the Endangered Species Club. They are especially interested in hunting endangered species because the small numbers make them hard to find. (Taken from Wikipedia
The Goodies set up the office as a Animal Clinic to earn some extra cash but when Graeme uses growth mixture on a cat things go disastrously wrong.
The Goodies find a man about to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge and talk him out of doing so. It turns out that the man is the zookeeper in charge of in the brand new Monster House at the London Zoo and that he is depressed because he does not have a monster exhibit to put into it. The zookeeper mentions that he used to be the keeper in charge of the Snowdon Aviary at the zoo. Tim, Bill and Graeme decide to go to Scotland, where they hope to be able to catch the Loch Ness Monster for the zookeeper to put into the Monster House. (Taken from Wikipedia)
The Goodies help a bed time drink Venom sell, by renaming it Snooze. Graeme also comes up with a new and improved Snooze that ends up putting the whole country to sleep.
The Goodies have become Advertising Men and Tim is horrified at the lies they tell about the products they advertise. Tim wants them to advertise about string, because he is of the opinion that string is pure.
