He gets his meals 4 times a day from his foster father Thomas Dörflein. Each meal consists of two courses. The second course is served in a small bowl. His table manners leave a lot to be desired! After eating, he can even stand on two feet. Then he is allowed in his new private playground. Knut discovers there that even toys have a life of their own. An Adventure: the decent into his own little playp pen. And the experience: 1. Sand doesn't taste nice and 2. you can get youself quite dirty Jetzt hat es der kleine Eisbär geschafft. Er kann laufen. Nun ist nichts mehr vor ihm sicher, und er macht seine kleine Welt unsicher. Viermal am Tag bekommt Knut von seinem Ziehvater Thomas Dörflein eine Mahlzeit. Das Menü gibt es in zwei Gängen. Der zweite Gang wird im Napf serviert. Die Tischmanieren lassen noch zu wünschen übrig. Nach der Stärkung kann er sogar auf zwei Beinen stehen. Dann darf er auf seinen neuen Privatspielplatz. Knut entdeckt dort, dass auch Spielgeräte ihr Eigenleben haben. Ein Abenteuer: der Abstieg in die eigene Buddelkiste. Und die Erfahrung: 1. Sand schmeckt nicht und 2. man kann sich gehörig schmutzig machen.
