Hailing from eastern New York, this group has performed throughout the tri-state area as well as in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Featuring a two-drummer line-up, and taking advantage of many years of combined musical experience, this mature, and only slightly grizzled, outfit is exceptionally deft in their approach to covering the material of one of the greatest American rock bands ever – The Allman Brothers Band. Capturing the excitement of what, by many, even today, is considered to be one of the greatest improvisational rock shows ever, this good natured, loose and confident group of players achieve the emotional and musical highs one would only expect possible at a performance by the Allman Brothers themselves. With Pat Russo on guitars and vocals, David Swanson on bass and vocals, and special guest Ed "The Hat" on drums, C & B is a powerful three piece that has been wowing audiences with their own original compositions and interpretations of blues, rock and jazz standards. Formed in June of 2004 by a “bunch of young dudes that love the blues” and drawing on influences that include Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Allman Brothers Band and Joe Bonamassa, as well as the many Blues heroes and Jazz masters that preceded them, these Northport, LI high school lads (Class of 2008) are showing audiences that they really know how to “rock the blues!”
