Tony D. speaks about his flight after he lands his A*I*R Atos at Andy Jackson Airpark in San Bernardino, CA after 5 hours and 109 miles of soaring from Pine Mountain in Ventura, CA. He did this in honor of the late Rob Kells and Andy Jackson during the memorial fly-in, September 6, 2008.
Hang gliding above Crestine during the Andy Jackson/Rob Kells Memorial Fly-In. Enjoying the beautiful panoramic scenary from 5,900' and wondering why you weren't up there too. I'm flying a Wills Wing Sport 2 155.
Short vignette fo termalling w/ Dusty in his Falcon 195 w/ purple LE from CSS & PG that I dove under to avoid a head-on when he didn't clear his turn. No harm done or feathers ruffled. 9/6/2008 1:45PM at Crestline.
Scenes from my first mountain solo hang gliding flight since ~1980. 90 minute flight in broken up thermals flying a Wills Wing Sport 2 155. Best climb was a 1,700' gain from 3,300' in one thermal in 7 minutes. I edited this showing me taking still photos then added the stills. I hope you enjoy it!

Zack Majors & Jeff O'Brian do simultaneous loops then: Dino Dinaso, John Heiney, Bill Soderquist, Dave Biddle, and Erik Delf who do the world's first simultaneous, smoke-trailed, five-man loop. Mitch Mc Aleer didn't make it back up to launch in time after tumbling earlier in the afternoon. 9.6.2008 at the Andy Jackson/Rob Kells Memorial Fly-In @ Crestline, CA. Please forgive the bad video quality. I accidientally set my camera to 320x240. OMG! Thank you to JCFlies for all the names.
9/14/08 - 'Southside' John's 85 mile flight from Blackhawk w/ me driving chase. A few scenes from Owen's personal best of 80.4 miles and Tony launching his Atos VR on a flight of 105 miles. Video by yours truly. This was my first experience playing retrieve driver. I would have flown too but was under the weather. Please let me know if you enjoyed watching this.
