Spanje gaat nog gebukt onder de burgeroorlog wanneer Ofelia met haar zieke, zwangere moeder bij haar wrede stiefvader, een legerkapitein gaat wonen in een oude molen. âs Nachts wordt Ofelia door een fee gewekt, die haar naar een spookachtig labyrint leidt. Macaber, maar prachtig sprookje, dat goed was voor zes Oscarnominaties, waaronder voor beste buitenlandse film. Uiteindelijk won de film er drie. Intussen staat Pan's Labyrinth [El Laberinto del fauno] bij de eerste 50 van IMDbâs Top 250 aller tijden en is nu al een klassieker. Ondanks de Spaanse taal en het ietwat bizarre gegeven durven wij dit zeker een absolute aanrader noemen. Pan's Labyrinth krijgt dan ook een tien!

No, I didn't particularly like "Titanic," [don't kill me] but the music was the most acceptable part of the film. Anyhow, here's something in the spirit of February 14th.
