On Sunday, March 25, two people came to Shiloh Christian Fellowship during the normal PULSE service. They showed a film called Invisible Children. This film is a result of three U.S. film students. They originally went to Sudan in search of a story. There was not much there. They were drawn to Uganda, south of Sudan. They found a story there. In Uganda, children are kidnapped, abducted and brainwashed, then turned into lethal weapons. The children are on the run a lot, but still, they remain strong. Since 2003, there has been things done to help these children out, but the âfightâ is not over. Visit there website: www.invisiblechildren.com.

At the end of a lonely cemetery road in a small Texas town, Norm Lanier toils to bring the dead back to life. He does not use a witch’s brew, lightning, or voodoo magic; although it is rather easy to apply these things metaphorically to his work. Take one photograph of a dead ancestor, add some computer wizardry, swirl it around, toss in a pinch of special laminate and viola! The result is a Haunted Portrait. Norm has assembled an impressive Rouges Gallery of horror, with images ranging from the curious to the darkly sublime. While some are suitable for children, others have the power to make your blood run cold. In this video I deconstruct the broken watch straw man argument used by creationist/ID supporters to attack evolution. I had to pack a ton of information into this video so you WILL need to pause it periodically. The basic premise of the argument is that a bunch of parts will never randomly assemble into the correct arrangement to form a properly functioning complex. Once again, creationists/ID supporters miss the basic concept of evolution entirely. No biologists believes, nor is there any evidence that complex systems form spontaneously in one fell swoop. That would be creation. Systems evolve through many intermediates, one step at a time, slowly building up the complexity. I simulate clocks as living organisms. Selective pressure is focused on their ability to accurately tell time. NO goal is imposed on the design. Clocks evolve through a series of transitional forms. Gradually the complexity is built up.
