When we left off last time, the baby bobcat Hope had gotten her first whole prey food item, but thought it was a toy. Watch this episode of bobcat vs mouse to see if she figures out that it is food. Big Cat Rescue 12802 Easy Street Tampa, FL 33625 813.920.4130 Info@BigCatRescue.org
All cats cough up furballs, from your domestic cat at home to an African Lion on the savannah. They do this to protect themselves as the furballs may also contain bone fragments from whole prey and can cause blockages in their digestive system. Watch as Zza Zza one of our Ocelots shows us how it is done! Big Cat Rescue is a sanctuary for exotic cats like Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Bobcats, Lynx, Servals and Ocelots, to find out more about our mission visit: http://www.bigcatrescue.org

Savannah Cat Rescue- Serval/ Domestic Hybrid
Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fl. provides a permanent home to over 140 exotic cats. We have limited space and try to rescue what we can as well as try to get tougher legislation passed to lessen the amount of unwanted big cats. Sometimes people will get a smaller exotic feline like a serval or bobcat and hope that due to its size it will make a better “pet.” They soon learn that we speak the truth when we say exotic cats don’t make good pets. And other times people will buy from breeders a hybrid variation like a bengal cat or a savannah cat with often the same results. This video takes you along with us on a rescue of a savannah cat. We ask animal lovers to take in unwanted domestics and not to buy into this big cat crisis we have here in America. Thanks for watching, and for more info please log onto: www.bigcatrescue.org
Near Tunas, Missouri there is a backyard cage housing two tigers. The cage is in the corner of a three sided barn. There is no outside play yard for the tigers. The cage does not have a lock on the door either. This is not safe for the community and the situation is quite sad for the tigers. Please contact the Missouri Law makers through www.CatLaws.com and let them know Missouri needs new laws.
Nothing is wasted at Big Cat Rescue especially when it can be used as enrichment for two of our tigers Shere Khan and China Doll. This treat will encourage natural behaviours and stimulate their minds. Big Cat Rescue is a non profit, permanent retirement home to more than 100 tigers, lions, leopards, bobcats and more specie of exotic cat. We rely entirely on donations to provide them with the lives you see in these videos. Please help support the big cats at: http://www.bigcatrescue.org/donate.htm or by mailing a check to Big Cat Rescue, 12802 Easy Street, Tampa, FL 33625 813.920.4130 info@BigCatRescue.org Thank you!
Baby Bobcat Week 2 Episode 3. When we left off last time, the mother cat was not allowing the baby bobcat to nurse, so we checked with Jack Talman, St Francis and Cat Call to see if her last two kittens were still awaiting homes. In "Conservation or cruelty" we take a 6 minute look at places and individuals that breed and exhibit large felines, many in the name of conservation. In the US, unaccredited road side zoos, pseudo sanctuaries and personal exhibits across the country that house lions, tigers and leopards are breeding them in countless numbers to attract the public. We look at some that are open to the public and sadly probably rate around "average" of the facilities that we know of. You be the judge...is it conservation or cruelty? *BCR proudly supports real conservation efforts in The Snow Leopard Trust, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the Sumatran Tiger Trust to name a few. Even our own founder was fooled years ago into fake conservation; please don't let it happen to you. Log onto: www.bigcatrescue for more info.
