Sam 'Bluzman" Taylor is a local legend! My first meeting, was at the Brau House, and I was immediately a convert, and now a "Bluzman" fan. 2004 Sam was a closing act at Cedar Beach Blues fest. Blazed with a yellow sunset, and then darkness, Sam held the rain while completing his gig. Prior to this, I met Sam at Blues 2000 & 2, la at night. Electrifying performance, with Heather Hardy, guest violinist. So this program has the video from both these gigs. That's 2 great gigs, but with one, and the only, Sam "The Bluzman "Taylor. So now I ask you to check out his web site www.Bluzman.com There will be more Sam Taylor, on up coming TV shows, so sit back and enjoy. .......Zenbock
The T-Bone and Franny Mae Band have been delivering top-notch old school R&B and classic Motown with a healthy sprinkle of Blues in the LI/NYC metro area since 1999. Mix that in with some whimsical and quirky original material and poof !!! You have Long Island’s top act that delivers a great "get up off your ass and dance" approach to the blues and all forms of what we call "good time music". Tbone, Franny Mae and the boys are mainstays at Long Island’s top festivals, outdoor events and A level clubs. The band is co-fronted with two special talents Tommy Tbone and Franny Mae. Sam "Bluzman" Taylor is a legendary musician, with roots to Riverhead's famous blues club, that was known as "The Bluebird." On December 15, 2007, Sam Taylor came back to The Bluebird. The Long Island Blues Society, (www.LIBlues.org) gave Sam this benefit. This was at Vail-Leavitt Music Hall, (www.Vail-Leavitt.com). The night had many musicians on stage, and the place rocked for 3 1/2 hours. Featured musicians: Maxine Brown, Kerry Kearney, Curtis Hightower, Jack Lacitra, and many more! This video, is just one small highlight from this momentous event.
