Theatrical trailer for THE BULLFIGHTERS, the final Fox feature film of the 1940s starring Laurel and Hardy. After classic comedy shorts and fgeature films for Hal Roach, Laurel and Hardy finished their screen careers in a series of of generally lesser films for MGM and 20th Century-Fox. None were comparabale to their earlier efforts, but most had moments of hilarity that were remisicent and often based prior sequences from the previous films. Only the idependently produced, ATOLL K (1951), would remain. It was not a fitting exit for, arguably, the screen's greatest comedy team. Fortunately, after their earlier Hal Roach films were released to television in the 1950s, Stan and Ollie found a succeeding generations of new fans, who continue to view and appreciate their work to this day.
