MiChi, of English/Japanese ancestry, was born in England in 1985 and moved to Kobe, Japan at 2 years of age before returning to England in 1995. Determined to be a singer she performed in an acoustic duo before returning to Japan when she was 18. The following year she met Tomokazu Matsuzawa producer for acts Mika Nakashima, Miliyah Kato, SOULHEAD and CHEMISTRY. The pair worked together for three years developing her talent before MiChi entered JapanÃ¢ÂÂs dance club scene. In 2007, she released the track Ã¢ÂÂSurrenderÃ¢ÂÂ on a dance compilation which was followed a year later with her independently released English LP, Ã¢ÂÂMiChi Madness.Ã¢ÂÂ The album saw chart topping dance hits and a long chart life. Now sheÃ¢ÂÂs set to make her major Japanese with Sony Records with the single, Ã¢ÂÂPromise.Ã¢ÂÂ
