Pretty wild footage of a flash flood coming downstream and taking over a road. Here in Las Vegas, this is a common occurence (when it storms) but still people ignore the warnings and end up having to be rescued.
Mesa Southwest Museum's dinosaur display includes a flash flood that illustrates how a rainstorm miles away could suddenly kill any animals in the lower sections of that flood plain. The flash flood is common in the Southwest desert where monsoon storms come in fast, dump a lot of water and are gone just as fast.
