First episode of legendary series. Starring Thierry Gueorgiou.
Thank you Thierry Gueorgiou for this video.
Alex Lines (M12) and Edward Lines (M9) are members of Southdowns Orienteers in southern England. This video is entirely their own work and was made on a Saturday when their parents were away running. They made the video to be shown shown at their school to encourage other children to try orienteering.
The King of Middle Distance explains his Route to Victory at the World Cup Round 2 in Hovden, Norway. Includes 3D visualization of Gueorgiou's route choices (A worlds first!) using a tailored version of Catching Features and the OCAD->3D terrain converter in addition to route choices shown on a conventional map. There is also some head camera action. Thank you to Czech band Lingers, for providing music with "Life is Beautiful". PS! Please download and view in full quality full-screen - it isn't the same in a small window with the poorer online-quality...
