African Lions 2 02:33

African Lions live in family groups called Prides. The females lions do most of the hunting. These large carnivores never make good pets. The job of the male african lion is to protect the Pride and its territory. Lionesses help each other take care of the lion cubs in the Pride.

  • The Sumatran Tiger is the smallest of the 5 remaining subspecies of tigers. There are only about 450 of them left in the whole world with only about half of those in the wild. These big cats have webbed feet and are excellent swimmers. Unless many more people work hard NOW to Save the Sumartran Tiger in the wild it will go extinct just like the Caspian Tiger, the Javan tiger and the other lost tiger as well. Extinction is forever. • Watch what happens as the 2nd gorilla climbs up the rock. She starts out acting kindly, but watch the silly funny thing she does next. Wild animals and and baby aimals are funny. They never belong as private pets.

Did you know they have to learn to swing too. In the wild baby orangutans need to stay with their mothers for eight years to learn all they need to know to be an orangutan. This great ape is an endangered species. That means unless things change these magnificent animals will become extinct. Extinction is forever. • Here is a video of a baby orangutan playing. CUTE! If you love animals watch this. It will brighten your day. Orangutans are an endangered species. The best way to save them is by saving their habitat in the wild. When you visit zoos ask them if they are accredited & if they participate in any of the Species Survival Plans though the AZA? Also ask them if they support the saving of the animals & their natural habitats in the wild? This baby was born is a good accredited facility & will never be a part of the exotic pet trade & she will never be part of the performing animal acts. When she was healthy enough she was transferred to live with an orangutan surrogate mother & did not remain under the care of humans any longer than it was needed for her health. In the wild orangutans stay with their mothers for 8 years so this baby orangutan needed an orangutan surrogate mother and got one. Learn more about saving orangutans in the wild at www.Return2eden.org & www.ZooFun4u.com

  • I love big cats. Here is a short video clip of "Boss". Boss is an African Lion that was rescued by Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. He lives in a HUGE naturalistic habitat yard nestled in the the hills around Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He always has his nose to the wind sniffing for interesting smells. When he stands majestically in the soft blowing Ozark Mountain breeze his extremely long dark mane sways with the wind making you feel like you have just met Mufasa or Simba from the Lion King movie. YOU Can even adopt or sponsor Boss.
