Risa, a tall Japanese girl, gets rejected by a boy because she is taller than him. Otani, a short Japanese guy, gets rejected by a girl because he is shorter than her. Obviously these two would never be able to make it as a couple right? Well love doesn’t always follow such logic as Lovely Complex will show.

Lovely Complex is a comedy between a boy and a girl. The girl, Risa Koizumi, is 170 cm tall - much taller than the average Japanese girl. The boy, Atsushi Otani, is 159 cm - way below the average height of the average Japanese boy. Because of this, they are known as their school's comedy duo because there is a popular comedy duo that has a similar height difference. So people also call them "All Hanshin Kyojin" team. As they get to know each other better, Risa's feelings for Atsushi begin to blossom, and her love life gets complicated from here. If you want the subs you have to download it and watch it with either VLC Player or Windows Media Player.
Love, sex, and the confusing gray area in between marks the playing field for this low-key comedy-drama.. Chinatsu (Okuno Mika) is a twenty-something lesbian who shares an apartment with Kyoko (Chika Fujimura). Chinatsu is attracted in passing to Kyoko, who occasionally returns her affections, but Kyoko is primarily interested in men -- though she has trouble getting one to stay interested in her. The excitable Kyoko is fixated upon a man who watches over the fish at a pet shop, but try as she might, she can't seem to get him to pay much attention to her, causing her no end of problems.
Shinsuke has been going on with his uneventful daily life, with "synesthesia" being the only symptom differentiating him from others. He keeps the dark depth of his mind to himself, but feels distant even from his best friend and his fiancee. Mari has also been feeling deep solitude from experiencing synesthesia which she feels she is unable to share with anyone. Her parents have passed away, and her adoptive parents mysteriously die, one by one. Picasso, the "dealer of death" comes into scene as mysterious incidents and murder occur one after another. Shinsuke suspects that Mari is being followed by Picasso, and that she may be the next victim. Shinsuke and Mari's fateful meeting upturns their lives and leads them to tragedy.
Hana and Alice are both crushing on boys. Alice is a go-getter, but Hana has trouble getting Mark to take interest in her. Until Mark falls off a wall and hits his head, and Alice convinces Mark that he was in love with her, he's just forgotten.
Based upon a play by Hideo Tsuchiya. A group of swindlers pull off a heist but misplace their goods while on a getaway train (if you've ever been in Tokyo traffic, this sounds reasonable).
