This is a video projection piece I created as part of ‘ear poke’, a 4 night event featuring international and national electronic musicians, computer and sound artists at the Jade Monkey, Adelaide, South Australia. Part of ACMC06 Medi(t)ations (Australian computer music conference 2006).

On September 1, 2007, Sean Costin rode 29.76 miles (47.89 km) in one hour on his Velokraft NoCom lowracer recumbent bicycle on the indoor wooden track of the, LA Velodrome located inside the ADT Event Center at the Home Deport Center Complex in Carson, CA. Sean completed 190 laps as he broke his own world record that he has previously set early in the year at the Ed Rudolf, Northbrook, IL Velodrome, when he broke the record previously set on July 7, 1933 by Francis Faure of 45.055 km (27.9 miles) on a Paris velodrome Fast loading Youtube version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r39evoZUZU

First 7 of 35 miles - from Bixby Knolls in Long Beach - N. on the Los Angeles River Bike Trail to Imperial Hwy. Lots of interesting scenary and commentary. The next 3 parts continue up the LA River Trail - E. through Whittier Narrows Recreation Area then S. on the San Gabriel River Bike Trail past the Artesia Fwy. The ride was Novemeber 3, 2007, on my Bacchetta Aero recumbent racing bicycle and it was a beautiful, sunny Southern California Saturday. Part 1 of 4. Total time is 37 minutes.
