During the monster movie craze of the 1930's, monsters from around the world moved to Los Angeles to sell their stories and get movie deals. Unfortunately, they all got screwed over by Hollywood executives who stole their ideas and left them broke. So by the late 50's there is a monster underclass fairly well-established in the shadow of Hollywood. Renfield ( the bug-eating sycophant from Dracula ) and Igor (Dr. Frankenstein's bumbling assistant) are private detectives fighting to protect the monsters that have no one else to protect them. A tongue-in-cheek detective tale - it's pure noir, but all the femme fatales are zombies, the gangsters little green men and the most dangerous monsters of all are humans.
