Profiles in Citizen Journalism: Citizen Kate 04:22

The UpTake kicks off this new series with Chicago's intrepid Citizen Kate. She's been hot on the campaign trail since Obama announced his run for the presidency, charming her way into interviews with senators and presidential advisors - and sometimes, getting kicked out. She's all about peave, hugs, and juicy couture. More at http://theuptake.org and http://citizenkate.tv

  • April 23, 2008--Pennsylvania was pivotal to the democratic primaries. Citizen Kate weighs in on Hillary Clinton's victory, the race for president, and Obama Girl. Well, it's official. Hillary Clinton beat Barack Obama in Pennsylvania. This whole presidential race is too close to call. Wow. Indiana might actually be an important state. I never thought that the home to Michael Jackson and the Indy 500 would be so critical in the presidential election. If the actual election is anything like the primaries, it's going to be a super tough race. I mean, Hillary and Barack actually had a WWE showdown! I wonder if Gravel and W.A.R. will have a smack down at the Libertarian National Convention in Denver. Of course, Nader and McCain seems to have sealed the deal with their parties. Yet McCain still keeps campaigning for the Republican candidacy. Does he think that Mike Huckabee and Chuck Norris have some last minute fight planned out? One thing is for sure. I'm going to Indiana.

  • May 3, 2008 -- Citizen Kate weighs in on Obama's victory with the Guamians. It's official. Obama won the Guam vote. Although it was 50/50. But he beat Hillary by 7 votes. Did you know their motto is "Where America's Day Begins"? I wish that were true. I'd have a suntan and mai tai. Instead, I'm in the wandering land of Indianapolis. It seems that every state and island are important this election. I think that's a sign that every citizen is important. No matter how big or small. I wonder who will win the Heartland? Barack Obama? Or Hillary Clinton? McCain's already made a clean sweep. Maybe it's easier to vote Republican...
