Woody en Nell zijn pubers die niet méér van elkaar kunnen verschillen. Zij is het brave blokbeest, hij een domme sportieveling. Na een ruzie voor een betoverd beeldje in het museum, bevinden ze zich de dag erop in elkaars lichaam... Het concept van 'plots in een ander lichaam' is niet nieuw (Big, 13 Going On 30, Freaky Friday...), maar het blijft wel inspiratie bieden voor leuke situaties. Hoofdrolspeler Kevin Zegers [Air Bud, Dawn Of The Dead] en Samaire Armstrong [The O.C.] zijn hier niet erg bekend, maar het concept daarentegen wel. Er zal, zoals we ergens lazen, "vast wel weer een groep zijn die It's A Boy Girl Thing de meest geweldige film aller tijden vindt".
