「助けて」。この言葉が言えず、孤独死した30代の男性を去年１０月にクローズアップ現代で取材し、放送した。番組では、生活に困窮し、命に危険を及ぼしかねない状況になっても助けを求めない３０代の姿を取材。彼らは、こうした状況になったのは、自己責任だと自らを責め、「助けて」の言葉を拒み続けていた。 この放送直後、インターネット上のブログでは書き込みが急増。わずか３日で２０００件を超えた。その多くが３０代で、驚くことに孤独死は他人事ではないと共感するものがほとんどだ。
