En el 2003, después del homenaje recibido al arribar a sus 80 años. La Fornés es llamada a realizar la puesta televisiva de esta comedia estrenada con rotundo éxito en el Teatro Nacional en 1997. Una vez mas el dramaturgo cubano Nicolás Dorr escribía una pieza pensando en Rosa; antes lo había hecho con “Confesiones en el barrio chino” (1984) y “Vivir en Santa Fe” (1986). Acompañan a Rosita Fornés en el elenco: su hija Rosa María Medel y el joven actor Vladimir Villar, todos bajo la dirección de Marlon Brito.
