Strauss piece
Zarathustra Strauss
A song is a musical composition. Songs contain vocal parts that are performed, 'sung,' and generally feature words (lyrics), commonly followed by other musical instruments (exceptions would be acappella songs). The words of songs are typically of a poetic, rhyming nature, although they may be religious verses or free prose. The words are the lyrics. Songs are typically for a solo singer, though there may also be a duet, trio, or more voices (works with more than one voice to a part, however, are considered choral). Songs can be broadly divided into many different forms, depending on the criteria used. One division is between "art songs", "popular music songs", and "folk songs". Other common methods of classification are by purpose (sacred vs secular), by style (dance, ballad, Lieder, etc), or by time of origin (Renaissance, Contemporary, etc). Colloquially, song is sometimes used as slang to refer to any music composition, even those without vocals. In European classical music, jazz, brass band, popular music, and many other musical styles however, this usage is considered incorrect. "Song" should only be used to describe a composition for the human vocals. In music styles that are predominantly vocal-based, a composition without vocals is often called an instrumental. A musical piece that may be either with or without vocals can be called a melody, a tune, or a composition.

A true stage dynamo, Lara always leaves the viewer breathless with her gutsy delivery and matching gestures. Nobody moves like her !! Here she uses her talent as a dramatic actress to make the Italian classic "Caruso" come to life, and she does so in a way that rips the viewer's hearts in a million pieces but makes you thank the heavens you're alive to witness such beauty and authentic talent. Trained as Lyric Soprano Italian-Belgian pop singer Lara Fabian was born to be a superstar diva. She was classically trained as a child, and at 18 she flew to Quebec to begin her career as a solo artist. There she released 3 successful albums, but soon the territory proved to be small for Lara's ambition and talent. So in 1996 she launched her career in France with album Pure which sold 2million, and her international career took off in 1999 when Sony Music launched her first album with the hit "I Will Love Again". Since then, Lara has released more albums and DVDs and collaborated with Josh Groban, David Foster and Walter Afanasieff. Rush to buy her albums, you'll never go back http://www.lara-fabian.fr

David Russell plays the final movement Gigue from Bach's third cello suite (BWV 1009). Sorry about the slightly out-of-sync audio. I could not find a way to improve the sync.
Robert Murray plays violin, Melba Williams plays harp, and Neal Campbell plays the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia, in an excerpt - the middle and final portions - of The Sleep of the Infant Jesus, by the impressionistic French composer Henri Busser. This work is often heard in a version for cello, harp and organ, but adapts well to the violin in place of the cello. This video comes from episode 14 of the Midnight Pipes television series. A VHS Hi-Fi home video of this episode may be acquired from Zarex Corp. at www.zarex.com. It is item #9014.
In the spirit of the season, I put my Santa Hat and the only metal shirt I own, my Dethklok Metalocalypse shirt, and cranked out this Tchaikovsky classic, with some distortion and a micro-POG. I would have donned some devil horns had I had them.
