In het kader van de Internationale Kamermuziekserie Arnhem van de AVVK (Arnhemse Vereniging Voor Kamermuziek), seizoen 2008-2009 (zie: http://www.avvk.nl ) werd de proloog gevormd door een Masterclass door meesterpianist -begeleider Rudolf Jansen (Lied en liedbegeleiding). De openbare Masterclass werd gegeven op zaterdag 4 oktober 2008 in K13 te Velp, van 10.30 uur tot 16.45 uur. Hier de opening met het lied "Prison" van Gabriel Fauré (tekst van Paul Verlaine), gezongen door de mezzosopraan Ruth Willemse en begeleid door de pianiste Penelope Cashman.

A song is a musical composition. Songs contain vocal parts that are performed, 'sung,' and generally feature words (lyrics), commonly followed by other musical instruments (exceptions would be acappella songs). Robert Murray plays violin, Melba Williams plays harp, and Neal Campbell plays the Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia, in an excerpt - the middle and final portions - of The Sleep of the Infant Jesus, by the impressionistic French composer Henri Busser. This work is often heard in a version for cello, harp and organ, but adapts well to the violin in place of the cello. This video comes from episode 14 of the Midnight Pipes television series.
