This week, plummeting temperatures hurt the turnout at the river of lights in albuquerque. But things are looking up this weekend. Misa maruyama is live at the botanic gardens where people really bundled up tonight. She's live with our top story. Misa. Take a look at these lights -- there are hundreds of thousands of them twinkling throughout the property. But don't let theuzzying fool you. It is cold! Take a look -- the pond has even ozen over. Still -- the frigid temperatures couldn't keep away albuquerque's die-hard christmas revelers. They say it's all about coming prepared -- armed with hot chocolate, scarves and lots of layers! Officials say tonight's crowd of more than 22 hundred people was the best yet. In the middle of the week -- between 500 and 700 people turned out each night. Tonight -- people we spoke with say they don't mind getting a real taste of the northpole. Tonight is a pretty chilly night. Any hesitation in coming out to see the lights? None whatsoever because we know how to dress. Misa: how is it tonight? Is it cold? No but you don't like it when it's cold. But are you having fun anyway? Dante: i'm having fun with my friend natalia. If you want to join the fun -- you can buy tickets for the river of lights at the gate or online.
