Each year, the Red Cross offers its own unique type of kit, which includes things like a flashlight, a compact stove, and a supply of food and water. Mid-Dakota Red Cross Director, Allan McGeough MAGOO says the space-saving bags also come in handy at other times of the year. They're items he hopes people are never forced to use, but says it's better to be safe than sorry.
