Shamu Rocks is a rock n’ roll concert of unprecedented proportions combining improvisational movements of killer whales with music remixed with some of the hottest rock stars in the industry including Jennifer Lopez, Savage Garden, Lifehouse and Shakira. Taking the performance to dynamic magnitude, a 3-story tail fluke flanked by four, 20-foot-wide rotating LED screens dominates the scene and showcases abstract visuals that can be combined to create an 80-foot-long panoramic screen, setting the stage for a colossal multimedia presentation. Nearly 100 speakers throughout the stadium provide an optimal rock n’ roll surround-sound experience.
Nostalgic journey to the 80s rock scene. This tale revolves around the group Speed Way and its disillusioned front man Nakajima who tries to avoid writing lyrics according to pop clichés for the sake of providing instant hits. As a result, he is constantly quarreling with his record label which is interested in sales first, music second. It's during these lost times that he runs into a Bob Dylan lookalike God of Rock.
This started out as a ride-through of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Disneyland. The ride stops before the end and us and the other passengers have to walk off the ride. Recorded on June 14, 2007.
