Charlotte demands Marcus meet with Damek from the Armayan House, who wants in on Aurora. With Chase injured, Marcus sends Krista and Jakob to get Vanessa back from Blade. Dr. Lambert's examination of Vanessa shows she isn't actually carrying a baby but an ominous unknown fluid.

Boone continues his killing rampage and pays a visit to Damek at the House of Armaya. Charlotte (Emily Hurst), the diminutive head of Chthon, confronts Marcus about Aurora. Chase attacks and presumably kills Boone, so Marcus sends her to Berlin to find a pregnant patient. Blade also travels to Berlin to get to the pregnant patient, Vanessa (Sonja Bennett -- "The Dead Zone," "Stargate: Atlantis"), but Chase and other Familiars get to her first. Blade kidnaps Vanessa and blows up the Institute. Marcus catches Krista trying to steal the vaccine--and tells her it doesn't work.
Blade and Shen learn about the resurgence of the White Prince (Scott Heindl -- "Blade: Trinity," "I, Robot"), an infamous vampire serial killer who they think is working out of a Detroit nightclub. After feeding on Marcus, Blade forces Krista into isolated detox. Charlotte invites Chase for a visit and makes her a proposition.
While investigating the virus that had been implanted in Vanessa, Blade learns about the murder of Flannigan, a cop who helped care for him when he was a child. In a flashback, Blade's backstory reveals that the former Eric Brooks ended up in the hands of Whistler when his father, and a kind nurse named Viola, were no longer able to control "Eric's" need to feed. Krista takes drastic measures to save her mother. Marcus sends Chase to Vegas on a business errand. When someone from Blade's childhood is murdered, Blade has to stop the assailant before he can harm Viola.
Krista's newly turned mother escapes from the hospital. In Las Vegas, Chase meets up with old flame Alex, a wealthy Pure Blood who encourages her to leave Marcus. Blade and Krista try to track down Krista's mother to get her on the serum that can keep her from killing. Detective Collins meets with Marcus to inquire about Boone. Alex is in for an unfortunate surprise when Chase takes him to Chthon.
Clark discovers that his schoolmate Jordan (JOSEPH CROSS) can foresee the future, and he is horrified when Jordan predicts that Lana will die in a fire in the next few days. Meanwhile, suspicious of Adam's (recurring guest star IAN SOMERHALDER) behavior, Chloe investigates his background and finds some disturbing facts.

FBI Agent Ray Collin's (Larry Poindexter -- "CSI: NY," "Nip/Tuck") investigation of the murder of trooper Hirsch leads him to Detective Boone (Bill Mondy -- "The Dead Zone," "Reunion"), a cop turned vampire.
