It's November 15 2008 7:18am in Northern Illinois ...In my opinion it's the peak of the rut in this ... part of the country. My good friend Ron Levin of www.AfterTheHuntTaxidermy.Com... acquired permission for me to bow hunt ALL of his Big buck hot spots. I was hunting a creek crossing where the trail funneled down in a dense thicket. While this is not the biggest buck I have harvested...It IS a prerequisite to harvest a Boone and Crockett Whitetail buck on this property. Ron implements Quality deer management ...and in order for me to arrow a Booner...I was required to cull a inferior buck.
