  • While this can be a tough week for many military families separated during the holidays... A lucky few... are deployed with their family. Meet married couple... Adam and Jennifer Greff...as we "skype with a soldier." They met in Jamestown at college... (Adam and Jennifer Greff) "It was your second year? His sophomore year my freshman year, and we just met and he left for Iraq for a year and when he got back we started dating and a year later we got engaged and married" She joined the national guard while he was deployed in Iraq... and during basic training, they got to know each other the old fashioned way... through letters. (Adam Greff) "you get to know each other a lot without ever talking or seeing each other, you get a lot of family information and things like that just because you have letters." Adam and Jennifer have now been married a little more than 2 years... And when she found out her unit was deploying to Kosovo... Adam volunteered to deploy as well. "I wouldn't have it any other way than to volunteer to be with her, than to be away from her, I mean, no other way than that." (Jennifer Greff) "He works with the Provost Marshal, which is cops basically, and I'm more like customer service, when any soldiers need paperwork or military id's fixed, that's what we do in our office." While so many soldiers are separated from their spouses during the holidays... The Greffs can't seem to get enough of each other. "We get up in the morning, go for a run, have breakfast, have lunch, and then supper, so we're together almost all the time." But they still miss home... Adam and Jennifer say they use skype almost every night to call their parents back home. Here's their soldier shout-out. "I'd like to wish my parents and friends back in Minnesota a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, love you guys, and I'd like to wish my family and friends in North Dakota and also my dog, happy New Year and a Merry Christmas." The Greffs plan to open presents together on Christmas Day... They ordered them online... and had them
