They'll be playing for the Fighting Sioux next season, but before they do that, they'll have the chance to play for a gold medal. And as they continue to train with olympic veterans, the Grand Forks natives say they're not nervous, but instead excited, to make the next step in a family tradition. "Joel Porter/ Reporter: twin sisters Jocelyne and Monique Lamoureux have just one thing on their wish list. A gold medal. After years of training, practices and games, the twins were named to the U-S olympic team last week. Jocelyne Lamoureux/ Team USA: Once we got to the Mall of America when they announced the team to the public, that's when it really started setting in and we kind of did something special together and obviously that's been our dream is to do it together. Joel Porter/ Reporter: At just 20 years old, the twins are two of the youngest members of a U-S squad that boasts two gold medalists and 13 players from the WCHA, including their former teammate from the Gophers, Gigi Marvin from Warroad. Jocelyne Lamoureux/ Team USA: I think we bring a young dynamic to the team, kind of keep things a little bit lighter, cracking jokes to the older girls, yeah, I was watching you when I was in the 2nd grade when you were in Nagano. Joel Porter/ Reporter: This winter will also mark the first time twins have competed in olympic hockey. But the Lamoureuxs say it's been their combined dream since they began playing. Monique Lamoureux/ Team USA: My best friend always gets to work out with me and I always have a training partner that holds me accountable for always working hard and it keeps us, makes us responsible that we're doing the extra work and doing the little things day in and day out to get better. Joel Porter/ Reporter: The twins now have a few more days to enjoy the holidays before heading back to the Twin Cities. From there, they can look forward to weeks filled with grueling practices and long trips to play exhibition opponents across the country. But they say the preparation will pay off once the games begin.
