drumsticks are minute thumbnail 10:13 pm minute thumbnail 10:14 pm at the center of a bizarre controversy in albuqurque tonight the drummer of a band that played in town on saturday is accusing city councilor don harris of swiping his sticks without permission. joe vigil is live downtown with the strange story. this is something that probably wouldn't have received any media attention--if not for this scathing e-mail from the drummer. he ventso councilor don harris about what happened at the convention center this weekend. the drummer then sent the e-mail to minute thumbnail 10:15 pm the entire albuquerque city council. the controversy tonight at city hall isn't the budget or red light cameras. drumsticks of all things are causing a stir. in this e-mail the drummer of the band tower of power--seen here---accuses councilor don harris of taking his drumsticks without permission after a show saturday. in the e-mail drummer david garibaldi writes "you came into our dressing room without an invitation, ate our food without asking, and also took my drumsticks without my permission as a prize for your son." the drummer goes on to say they were only a pair of drum sticks "but sir, they're my drumsticks and they mean something to me ...they represent my life and all i've worked for." the drummer then really lashes out at harris saying i hope we don't meet again, telling harris he's what's wrong with politicians today. councilor ken sanchez was also at the performance.
