Greetings friends, Butch R. Cleaver back to share a lovely "slice" of slasher film history with you! It's "Friday the 13th"...the original, the one that started the whole long running sordid franchise and made the hockey mask a Halloween accessory! NOTE: The Betsy Palmer joke is just that...us poking a little fun at an old public statement made by her. Betsy is a sweetheart and a crowd favorite and we mean no ill will by joking about her involvement then and now. Take it for what is is...a light-hearted goof-around.
In the spirit of the upcoming world wide competition known as the Olympics, we're taking a look at the old, moldy classic: "The Monster That Challenged the World". With Beijing's current environmental problems the chances of being attacked by large voracious snails is actually a bit higher than Albania's chance fo winning any events.... Notice the similarities between this film and the recent hit "Cloverfield".....perhaps this is where some of the inspiration came from?
He melts in your mouth, your hands, onto the floor and all over Aunt Sally's delightful folk art braided rug.... Join us as Butch R. Cleaver explores the unpredictable world of "The Incredible Melting Man"....all the more reason to endorse transhumanism. Cheers!
Hey Krypt Kats! Here's a sneak peek at our new broadcast series being filmed this month! We're taking it down to 30 minutes (for you short attention span fans) and losing the movie...but you're gaining a whole slew of weirdness! Be on the look out for new full-length episodes and more sub-atomics soon! Cheers!
"What a way to die....." You might be chanting the same glorious mantra when you feast your eyes on this 1970s nature gone wild classic. Radioactive chemicals turn normal rattle snakes into large vicious killers....what a hoot!

Join Butch as he explores the chop-saki world of the Japanese zombie martial arts film "Junk: Everybody Fights!" and reveals his prurient interest in actress Miwa Yanagizawa. Banzai!
After a tree hitting our studio delay...(great year so far, lemme tell ya!) we're back with a truly ridiculous 80s monster-fest! 1986's "NEON MANIACS!"
Welcome back fiends. As the cold temperatures of the winter season roll in, I've decided to head to the lovely humidity-ridden everglades to share a truly bizarre film called "Sting of Death". Mutant Jellyfish-man vs. scantily-clad teens while Neil Sedaka sings....what more could you ask for? Happy Hanukkah!!!
Well Hello Friends and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! This webisode of Sub-Atomic is a tribute to our good friend and fellow horror host Hayden Milligan (aka I.Zombie) who passed away earlier this week after a battle with cancer. He was a good friend, a fun character and continues to be an inspiration to us all. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the positive things in your life and to give thanks for those and all the other wonderful opportunities you have been afforded. I hope you'll take a moment to do this and take a moment to join us as we think of our good friend Hayden...and we thank you, the viewers for your love and support. The Trailer this time around is "The 7 Brothers Meet Dracula"
Welcome back Krypt Kats...Butch R. Cleaver here, back from tripping through the holiday weekend..and what a better welcome back than the quirky, obtuse and downright bizarre rock film known as "200 Motels"! The Yellow Shark himself, Frank Zappa, appears in a film all about Zappa groupies and life on the road (not too mention life strung out...). Boy...couldn't we use a chaotically sane individual like Zappa nowadays...? Maybe you should ask for Zombie Zappa this year for Xmas!
Well hello Krypt Kats! Butch R. Cleaver here, bringing you what could be one of the most underrated, under appreciated and overlooked pieces of psychotronic social satire to hit the airwaves in the last 10 years... it's $lasher$! Think of it as an ultra-gory survivor/game show where contestants can win millions and all they have to do is simply stay alive.... an awesome film and an awesome trailer!
Greetings Krypt Kats, Butch R. Cleaver here, hoping you all had a wonderful Halloween! We're back...and this time Emergo is bringing you the naughty trailer for "Lust For Freedom"! I don't know what it is with that skeleton and women's prison flicks.... You are also privy to a true story about Grim Reaper (the 80s metal band),,,Babes, Guns, Metal...what more could you ask for?
Well hello friends! Butch R. Cleaver is back with one of his favorite Ted V. Mikel's flicks "Girl in the Gold Boots"! Go-go dancers , bad acting and rock in roll...what else do you need to make your evening complete? It's better than "Showgirls" but then again..so was my last trip to the WC.
Cat fight! That's what you'll be shouting as you and MCT's good pal Emergo the skeleton watch the obscure girl on girl action trailer for "The Arena". It's Spartacus meets the women's prison genre as voluptuous Pam Grier faces off against the lovely Margaret Markov in the gladiators arena.....togas will be ripped, men will be amused and one will emerge victorious in.."The Arena"!
With Halloween just around the corner, we here at Meet Cleaver Theatre would like to give you an extra "treat" to tide you over... Please enjoy the technicolor trailer for Tease-a-rama starring classic burlesque divas: Betty Page (the real deal), Tempest Storm, Cherry Knight and more! All hosted by MCT's resident spokes-bone "Emergo"
Join Butch R. Cleaver as he takes a look at an altogether original take on the 60s spy genre! It's independent director/artists Michael Legge's film "Honey Glaze" this week! To see more of Mr. Legge's work, check out his film site: Sideshow Cinema: http://home.comcast.net/~sideshowmike/Welcome.html
An older sub-atomic that just resurfaced....not unlike a body at a beach! Join Butch as he checks out the swinging happenings on Daytona Beach...it's spring break 50s style with a look at an old Rock-n-roll classic: "Wild at the Beach"
The Cleaver's own closet case Emergo is taking over the hosting of this episode of Sub-atomic! Sure, he's offensive and a bit insensitive but he's still better than a sobbing Chris Crocker any day (also a closet case...). Watch as Emergo expounds on the virtues of Jeff Towne..a documentary about a retarded fellow....classless....
The mirrored balls...the lights...the tight pants and big hair! What's not to love about the roller disco? Join Butch R. Cleaver as he hosts "Skatetown USA"..one of the forgotten oddities of the 70s. It's packed with stars including Scott "Zapped" Baio, Patrick "Roadhouse" Swayze, Melissa Sue "Blind Prairie Girl" Anderson and Billy "dead midget" Barty among many others.... aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww FREAK OUT!
