Terra Nova is a planet made up of the North and South territories that have been in conflict with one another for centuries. Soldiers on both sides use a battle instrument called Heavy Gear.
'The Vanguard Storm' - A huge sandstorm interrupts a training tournament and uncovers a secret, long-lost weather station in the Badlands. The Vanguard and the Dragons fight it out to win possession of the lost station and its amazing weather-related hardware.
'When Gears Collide' - The Dragons battle the Vanguard on "ArmaGeardon", an artificial asteroid orbiting Terra Nova.

'Gear-Lympiad' - During the 16th Gear-Lympic games, an alien race comes to compete and transforms the athletic events into a battle for sovereignty over the entire planet of Terra Nova.
'Marcus Rover Highlights' - During Bob Stonefire's trideo show on Heavy Gear Champion Marcus Rover's amazing career, the Vanguard gets into an on-camera fight with the Dragons. Once again, Marcus beats Wallis, proving that he is still Heavy Gear Champion.
'Of Monsters and Mayhem' - As part of a new "Creature Feature" museum in the Dragon's base, Zerve brings in some "inert" Raptor Gears for a display. He doesn't realize that Wallis and Yoji are hiding inside them waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting Dragons.
''The Third Degree'' - During a tournament, the Dragons are abducted by the Alien Gear, imprisoned in an underground bunker, and interrogated on their strengths and weaknesses.
