Offenbach's authentic final scene of the Giulietta Act was incorporated in the integral edition for the first time in Hamburg. Ingo Metzmacher, who conducted the premiere, agrees that the finale now gives balance to the opera, making the end of the tale of Giulietta as important and the other acts.
