Some though have altered His Word to say something very different about the origins of the universe. What are these changes and how have they affected Christianity?
Christians, when you align yourselves with progressive creation, you have essentially acquired the same beliefs as Rome, Mormonism, JW's Seventh Day and others who have created an additional authority besides the Bible. The Bible says in Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." That seems like a straightforward statement.
