She has released four singles and one album since the beginning of her career in 2002, which is currently on hiatus -- reportedly down to pressure from her mother to stop. She has also had many roles in various TV dramas, movies, and commercials which has lead to her musical releases being few and far between. Rumour has it that she is in a relationship with Kitano Masato from the group day after tomorrow, and has been since he wrote the music for her 'Mizu Iro' single. SAYAKA is rumoured to be returning to the music business in December 2006 under the name Kanda Sayaka.
