My friend just got home from deployment and I wanted to spend some time with him down in Corpus... but it was quite the windy day out, which was blowing out the audio on the camcorder, so things sound painfully over saturated.
Even the cameraman get some love. I think it was around 1:00 AM at this point, and we were the last few people left in the store from the day's activities. And in case you were wondering, in the second clip he's helping me unfasten the safety pins holding my belt together before leaving the room. :)
Two kigurumi girls, a Mithra from FFXI and Errma were at FC. Both of them looked absolutely beautiful and I'm very glad I was able to run into them during their brief appearance at the con. And a special shout-out to StalkingCat for sticking his hand in front of the camera. I just LOVE it when people try do do that. Nothing captures the moment like someone's hairy knuckles in the shot.
It was growing late on a Sunday afternoon, the con was winding down, and things were growing quiet around the hotel. I should have been on the road hours ago and I was having such a hard pulling myself away from such wonderful friends, that we just decided to throw on some swimsuits and go hit the pool instead.
Early Saturday morning, Autumn decides to head out and see who all is awake and moving about. Very few people, apparently.

I didn't get the fursuit parade itself, but I did get the aftermath where we all swarmed outside and stood in line to be digitally scanned in 3D by a truck with a special sensor on the back. So eventually there will be a 3D model of a street with tons of fursuits in it, including Bridget. :)

Well, they *DID* ask me to come back.... This video will illustrate two things: 1) How tall I am compared to the average Hispanic person. If Bridget were with me, we'd be towering over everyone in there. 2) The fact that I can't dance. Fortunately everyone was blitzed and nobody cared. Not that anyone else there could dance, anyway.
Michelle reprises her role as Bridget, and I as Minerva, as we plot to distribute cookies to unsuspecting friends throughout the city. Not before popping next door to the salon again to show off our dresses to the ladies. Unfortunately, things did not go fully as planned, as none of our targets of opportunity were where they would say they would be, so The Great Cookie Plot of '08 was ultimately abandoned. My friend Michelle was at the furmeet, and I let her borrow Bridget as I pranced about in Minerva, and ultimately wound up wandering the city dressed up like this. We wound up going shopping, to a hair salon, out to eat, and then to the mall. ;) This was her first time wearing a kigurumi costume, so I had a lot of fun showing her how to be a proper mousegirl. :) I must admit, it was a little surreal standing next to myself like that.
We had a very nice furmeet out at the store down here in Corpus, and to help expedite the cleanup we hired a fluffy maid to help around.
