  • Opening three minutes to the animation Sesame. The story is about two creatures stuck in a desert town trying to get by and trying to get out. One of the characters is Chim Tweede, a native to the desert, made of clay with a fire that burns within him that is his life support. His people suffer oppression and decline at the hands of a great Empire from the South that has taken control of the desert to exploit its resources and make traveling to lands to the Northeast and Northwest possible. Chim runs a small cafe and is very indebted to his landlord. He has a hobby that was once common tradition of his people of burning various desert herbs in the fire at the center of his being. This is done by dropping the herb through a smooth tapered opening at the top of his head. Proper plants produce enjoyable experiences and at times Chim makes use of this hobby in his cafe to attract more customers. The other character is Harold Dearg, a furry creature from outside the desert with a great deal of experience and even more stories under his belt. Beneath the curls of his fur a magic exists that allows him to have as many arms as he may wish and store a great number of objects. In the beginning we find Harold rolling across the desert, wandering, lost, and Chim outside his town searching for herbs. The two encounter each other and Chim offers his water to the dehydrated mammal. Harold, in turn performs a bit for Chim to repay the gesture and to show that he has the gift of entertainment to offer should there be other goods, such as food and shelter to trade. Chim suggests Harold come to the town with him and two go off together. A friendship is then formed and Harold takes up work in Chiim's cafe as an evening performer, juggling and telling stories and singing for the customers. In this way they are able to slowly pay off Chim's debt.

  • A discussion with professor Noam Chomsky On Power, Dissent and Racism is a 70 minutes video based on a series of talks and conversations with Professor Noam Chomsky taken in 2002 and 2003 in New York and Cambridge, Mass. In this video, Chomsky presents with rigorous analysis and humor his reflection on the motivations behind 9/11 and its consequences on the international system. Chomsky starts with the principle that we need to think globally when we want to comprehend the world of today. He defines the notion of terrorism within its historical context and gives his thoughts on how we should fight it without exercising the politics of the most powerful. Chomsky also gives his personal perspectives on the role of the Media in the war on terrorism, and personal views on racism against Arabs and Muslims since 9/11 and much more...

  • http://codedsignal.com This show focuses on 5 free video distribution methods for video. It showcases other alternatives to iTunes. iTunes, Google Video, Fireant, DTV, Veoh, are all video based distribution solutions. As a content producer I use all five of these aggregators along with webpasties to strategically market and promote my work. As a consumer I use these applications to open my options in locating new media that of interest. Frappr is a beta application created by google. Frappr is basically their map solution (the answer to mapqwest). The added bonus and great feature of frappr is that it allows you to form a group and invite people to this group and map them on your map. It pin points their location on a global map and anyone apart of that group can see where everyone is situated.

  • Richard Gizbert investigates the media coverage of Iran and the British soldiers' stories, and the divide between East and West. In his Listening Post programme, Gizbert also looks at the modern-era war of information through control of search engines such as Google. With ever-increasing importance to the process of relaying information in today's world, Listening Post also documents the case of an amatuer journalist caught up in the workings of the system.
