After taking the Alberta Government all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada we finally celebrated a new freedom. A freedom that all of Canada and many countries in the civilized world already had. We worked for a year to put together the first major Gay Pride Week in the Alberta capital City Edmonton. We now had some sense of what being equal really meant.
A group of four of us spent the year getting ready for another wonderful week and another parade. I wanted a marching band but got "dykes on bikes" instead. It was a fun time even though the temperature was very cool for June. Many thanks to everyone that made it a lot of fun.
