Tpr. Albright, assisted by a West Carrollton Police Officer, was conducting a traffic stop on I-75. While making an arrest for OVI, another vehicle struck the left rear of the patrolmen's cruiser, forcing it into Tpr. Albrightâs patrol car, striking Tpr. Albright, the patrolman, and the suspect.

A trooper had pulled over to investigate a crash, when two vehicles passing on the right failed to stop, causing the first vehicle to land on the second. No major injuries were reported.

Trooper witnesses late season tornado from vehicle on November 11, 2002
The tornado, which first touched down in southwest Van Wert County, created a damage path a half-mile wide. The tornado killed two people in the Van Wert area and destroyed 48 houses and damaged 40 others. There were no injuries to the trooper in the vehicle.

Jeep crashes into bank during pursuit on August 18, 2002
A Dayton Post trooper attempted to stop a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for driving without headlights. The suspect attempted to make a left hand turn into a private drive, but lost control and drove directly into a bank. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver had stolen the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Driver loses control on Ohio Turnpike on April 2, 2005
As troopers and a wrecking service were attempting to clear the scene from a previous crash, a Ford Explorer struck the first vehicle as it was being loaded onto the tow truck and came to rest in the middle of road. The wrecking service operator, who was standing along the right rear side of the tow truck, was struck and knocked over the guard rail.

Commercial vehicle strikes trooper and cruiser on Interstate 71 on May 13, 2005
A Mansfield Post trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a commercial vehicle struck the Patrol cruiser and the stopped vehicle before overturning on I-71. No major injuries were reported.
