These are the AMV's (Anime Music Videos) I've created that I send off to anime conventions around the country. Some of them are better than others, but they are all here for you to see. This is an AMV to the song "Two Sisters" by Fiction Plane. The anime used is Elfen Lied. Well I began with the idea of this video mostly because I'd been making a lot of trailers and I figured that it might be good to go back to an actual music video. I'd been hearing this song on the radio a lot and as much as I could just rock-out to it, as I listened to the lyrics I starting thinking of an idea. That idea progressed and eventually became "Two Sisters". It's hard to think that nobody else has thought to use this song in an AMV (so far). Currently the band doesn't have a music video of its own, but I look forward to seeing it when it comes out. However, I do believe that with no false claim that I can honestly say that this is the original use of this song in an Anime Music Video. Trailer for the upcoming movie "Sunshine" which opens July 20th 2007. "Geneshaft" and this trailer went very well together, and the editing was not that difficult either.
This is an AMV with Trigun and the trailer for Blazing Saddles (this was my toughest AMV yet, a lot of headaches and screw-ups, but I'm glad for the finished product)
AMV Contest Winner "Youmacon 2007 AMV Contest" for Best Comedy Video A while back I was thinking about making an AMV Trailer to the movie "Full Metal Jacket", but on one hand I was having difficulty finding an anime that matched well enough, and besides the trailer isn't all that thrilling. However, as just a whim, I thought it might be funny to do something with the hooker scene in Saigon. I suppose I must have been looking at the anime I had with me at the time and somehow thought to use Cowboy Bebop as the source footage. I'll admit that as I made this I had no idea what I was doing, but through a stroke of luck it seemed to turn out pretty well. The characters, environment, and lip syncing especially came across in a unique but creative fashion. Of course, I'll let you all be the judge of how good it is :-) "Mi so horny!" - Samurai Jake
UPDATE: AMV Contest Winner "Anime Punch 2007" for Artistic Merit Definately the saddest AMV I've made to date. I used the anime Elfen Lied and the song "So This is Love" from the movie Cinderella. No violence here, just bittersweet romance. There may be some spoilers, but not too many.
This was an AMV trailer I did with the Kill Bill Vol. 1 trailer and Noir as the anime. I'll be making a follow up to this with Kill Bill Vol. 2. - Samurai Jake
