Max and Molly (and Liz & Jarrett too!) get a very special ride to the Magic Kingdom in the cockpit of the Disney World Monorail. Secret tip: Simply ask a cast member on the loading platform to let you ride up front, and they'll oblige you.

Max Playing Soccer at XL Soccer World 20090103
After a hiatus for a few months, Max got back to playing soccer this weekend. He's on XL Milan at XL Soccer World in the U8 coed league.
For New Year's Eve, we took the kids to a Carolina Hurricanes game (vs. the Atlanta Thrashers). It also gave me a chance to play with one of the new toys that we got for Christmas, a Kodak Zi6 pocket-sized High Definition camcorder. Here's a little video from our evening out.

Little Red Riding Hood The Musical Starring Max Campbell.wmv
Max recently made his "off, off Broadway" theatrical debut in Morrisville Elementary's Track 4 First Graders' production of Little Red Riding Hood, The Musical. Max played the role of "Tree 3". While you might say his performance was a little "stiff", he was very convincing. Of course, his main role was to serve as backdrop for the major players, but you should never underestimate the importance of the theatrical tradition of the Greek Chorus.
Max plays U5 soccer at Soccer Dome USA in Raleigh during January of 2006.
Griffin, Dad, and I took our kids ice skating in November 2007 in Greenville, SC. This was the first time either Max or Molly had been on ice skates. Molly didn't last long but Max gave it a valiant try. The little "walker like" contraptions that the rink had available really helped the kids' stability and promoted their confidence. It seems like such a great idea. I wish they'd had those when I was learning to ice skate the first time.
