Yahoo! FinanceVision

Yahoo! FinanceVision

In 2000, Yahoo! attempted a bold experiment; Leverage the fact that a large segment of its user base was capable of accessing broadband media. This fact coupled with the insatiable need for financial news at the time (dot com irrational exuberance) prompted the move to create the worlds first all-online, all streaming, financial news network. Yahoo! FinanceVision was born, the team covered events such as the September 11th attacks, and interviewed such notable figures as Jesse Jackson, Lou Dobbs, and many more. This series is dedicated to those folks who spent countless hours creating something that in their hearts they knew was the future. Considering the rapidly rising popularity of online video, I thought it appropriate to let everyone know that.... WE WERE THERE FIRST!
